Chicago, Il. (March 2, 2026) — Lathrop GPM is pleased to announce that Crain’s Chicago Business has named Partner Catherine Goldhaber to the publication’s “Notable Women in Law” for 2026. To be awarded this distinction, an attorney must serve in a senior-level role at her firm, have made an impact on cases handled, served as a role model or mentor to other attorneys, promoted inclusive practices in the workplace, and assumed a leadership role in professional organizations and civic/community service initiatives.
Goldhaber’s national litigation practice focuses on defending complex product liability and mass tort matters, supported by strategic counseling to mitigate risk and control exposure. She serves clients as local, trial and coordinating counsel bringing cohesive oversight to high-stakes litigation across jurisdictions. Goldhaber also advises clients on Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) issues, with particular depth in resolving MSP compliance disputes that arise during discovery and resolution. She holds leadership roles on the MSP Task Force for DRI, an organization of civil defense attorneys, and has collaborated directly with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services on key policy issues.
In addition to her client work, Goldhaber is an active leader within the firm and the broader legal profession. She is deeply involved with DRI and also serves on the Boards of Directors for Chicago Youth Centers and the Greater Chicago Legal Clinic.
