Chicago (February 19, 2025) — Lathrop GPM is pleased to welcome associate Megan M. Miller, CIPP/E to the firm’s Chicago office and Intellectual Property Practice Group.
Miller advises clients on strategic intellectual property and privacy counseling. With experience spanning trademarks, patents, data privacy and technology transactions, she guides individuals and companies from the initial concept stage to securing legal protections and market presence. Her practice spans various industries, including artificial intelligence, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, wearable tech, consumer products, marketing and cannabis.
Miller’s background as an IP paralegal prior to becoming a lawyer has provided her with a unique, hands-on perspective, emphasizing the importance of both legal knowledge and practical business considerations. Outside of her practice, she serves as the Chair of the Hennepin County Bar Association’s New Lawyers Section.
Prior to joining Lathrop GPM, Miller advised clients on global IP and data privacy matters at a Minneapolis-based firm. Miller earned her J.D. cum laude from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2021.
