Join Lathrop GPM for our annual Employment & Labor Law Seminar taking place on Thursday, September 10, hosted at a NEW LOCATION. This year’s seminar will feature special appearances by senior leaders from both the federal and state level, providing attendees with a unique opportunity to hear firsthand about evolving employment law enforcement priorities and compliance expectations. This annual event combines networking opportunities over breakfast and lunch with timely legal updates in labor and employment law and a robust lineup of breakout sessions addressing today’s most pressing workplace challenges.

This year’s program will feature:

• An engaging keynote discussion with the Chief Operating Officer of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) regarding the agency’s current enforcement priorities and operational developments, significant changes affecting employers, compliance challenges and other emerging workplace issues.
• Insights from the Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Human Rights (MDHR) on key state law developments, enforcement priorities, and compliance considerations.

Plus, a broad array of topics, including:

• Advanced sessions on complex leave and accommodations and FLSA issues, including best practices for compliance with Minnesota’s Paid Leave Law and its Meal and Rest Break Law

We are pleased to welcome Sharon Rose, Chief Operating Officer of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), as our keynote guest. As a member of the EEOC’s senior leadership team, Rose helps shape and advance the agency’s mission by strengthening operations, aligning strategy, and supporting the EEOC’s efforts to protect civil rights and foster thriving workplaces across the American workforce.

In an engaging Q&A session, attendees will gain valuable insight directly from the EEOC on emerging workplace issues, enforcement priorities, and the federal developments that are driving some of the most significant changes affecting employers today.
