Oil & Gas Attorney - Denver

Job Description:

Lathrop GPM is seeking an Oil & Gas Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join its active and growing Energy group in Denver.  The ideal candidate is highly motivated, self-starting, and can thrive working independently and in a team environment.  Significant experience drafting title opinions and a license to practice in Colorado are preferred; landman experience is a plus. Excellent academic qualifications and communication skills required. Compensation and benefit information for Colorado candidates: Current anticipated range is: $145k-189k. Actual salary will vary and may be above or below the range. IP Bio Patent Attorney – Multiple Offices

Job Description:

Lathrop GPM is actively seeking a full-time patent attorney with at least 2 years of biotech patent prep and prosecution experience within a law firm setting to join our growing Intellectual Property practice group. Work will include preparation and prosecution of patent applications, IP due diligence, patent portfolio management and general intellectual property counseling for clients ranging from start-up entrepreneurs to large biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies and research institutions. The position offers extensive professional development and mentor support in a team culture. This position could be based out of any of Lathrop GPM’s offices.

Job Requirements:

A strong scientific background and Ph.D. in a relevant life sciences discipline (e.g., molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, and immunology) are required. Candidates should possess strong technical skills along with excellent communication and writing skills.

IP Litigation Associate – Kansas City / Minneapolis

Job Description:

Lathrop GPM is seeking an associate to join our growing IP Litigation practice group in our Kansas City or Minneapolis offices. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of trademark, copyright, trade dress, and/or patent litigation experience in matters before federal courts, the TTAB, and/or PTAB, including investigating claims, drafting and responding to discovery and handling discovery issues, drafting pleadings and briefs, and assisting with strategic decision making. The associate will have the opportunity to contribute to a practice that represents clients in IP disputes on a regional, national, and international basis.   

Candidates should have excellent academic credentials along with strong research, writing, and critical-thinking skills, as well as a minimum of 2 years of IP litigation experience.

Tax Credit Associate – St. Louis

Job Description:

Lathrop GPM is actively seeking an experienced real estate transactional or tax attorney to join our Firm as an associate for our tax credit group in our St. Louis office. The associate would work on a wide range of transactions involving federal and state tax credits, with a focus on federal new markets tax credits, federal low-income housing tax credits, federal renewable energy tax credits and federal historic rehabilitation tax credits. The ideal candidate will have approximately three to five years of real estate transactional, finance or general tax experience with knowledge of partnership tax. Experience with tax credit transactions and government incentive programs would be a plus, but not a requirement.
