Emma Halling

Emma Halling is an associate and member of the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution group. Her practice focuses on complex business disputes. In particular, she defends and protects the rights of Fortune 500 information technology companies in software disputes with other businesses.

Additionally, Emma has experience handling appeals, post-conviction litigation, and high-profile Special Victims Unit trials. She spent time with the Kansas Supreme Court, Kansas Court of Appeals, and the Douglas County DA’s office. Emma has briefed appeals to the Kansas Court of Appeals and has argued a case before the same court.

While earning her B.A. at the University of Kansas she was Interim Student Body President in 2014 and Student Body Vice President from 2013-14. During law school, Emma served as Senior Executive Editor of the Berkeley Journal of Employment & Labor Law and a member of the Berkeley Journal of Gender, Law, & Justice.
