Emily Holpert is an associate in the firm's intellectual property practice group, focusing her practice on advising clients on various information technology related software license and support service agreements. She has experience advising clients on various software development and outsourcing agreements.

She advises clients on the use of open source software licenses and on regulatory compliance obligations under applicable data security and privacy laws, including U.S. state breach notification laws, the CCPA, the GLBA, the GDPR and HIPAA/HITECH. Emily has experience drafting and reviewing privacy policies and terms of use for websites and applications to be compliant with all applicable data security and privacy laws. In addition, she advises her clients on potential data breaches and assists with data breach responses and drafting notices of violations.
