Dara Alvarado is an associate in the firm's Kansas City office who practices in the firm's Business Transactions group. She has experience conducting legal research and drafting documents, including internal and client memoranda on cybersecurity and intellectual property matters. She has also assisted in drafting internal corporate documents such as bylaws, shareholder agreements, and a stock repurchase agreement.
Prior to joining the firm, Dara worked as a legal intern at a business transactions law firm, where she assisted in creating tax efficient corporate structures for ventures, drafted an intellectual property transfer agreement, among other matters. She was also a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Newton in the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District, where she saw legal proceedings from criminal cases to civil cases within the jurisdiction of the U.S. District Court. Dara has experience working as a legal assistant at an immigration law office, where she drafted Immigration USCIS DS-260 forms for clients, in addition to translating documents for clients.
