Lindsey R. Day
Lindsey Day is co-chair of Lathrop GPM’s Closely Held and Family Business team. She focuses her practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, general business law, corporate governance, closely held and family owned businesses, and emerging companies. She regularly counsels both buyers and sellers in stock and asset transactions and has extensive experience advising businesses on legal issues such as contract negotiation, strategic transactions, corporate restructurings, ownership transitions, and women-owned business certifications. She serves clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, retail, professional services, and technology.
Lindsey is a committee member of the firm’s Women’s Initiative Network and a contributor to the entreVIEW blog, which shares the entrepreneurial perspective of attorneys at the firm. Prior to practicing law, she worked in tax services at a Big Four public accounting firm.

- Represents a family owned precision machining and metal fabrication company in general business matters and succession planning
- Represents businesses and their owners in the negotiation of buy-sell and partnership agreements, commercial contracts, and private placements of debt and equity securities
- Represents a water conditioning company in strategic add-on acquisitions across multiple states
- Represented a higher education compliance content developer in a sale of its assets to a global private equity firm
- Represented a family owned provider of control room console solutions in its sale to a private equity firm
- Represented a mechanical contracting company in its acquisition of the assets of a competitor
- Represented a closely held restaurant holding company in its acquisition of seven restaurants
- Assisted with representation of a privately held restaurant management and development company in its bid to acquire the assets of a national restaurant company in a Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding
- Assisted with representation of a privately held manufacturer of industrial and commercial heaters in its sale to a publicly held strategic acquirer
