Jong Yi, Ph.D.
Jong Yi is a Technical Specialist with 20+ years of experience developing laboratory experiments and analyzing technical data. He focuses his practice on product lifecycle management, technology development and transfer, systems engineering and experiment design, in addition to particle physics, nuclear physics and photonics.
Prior to joining the firm, Jong worked as a principal physicist for an oilfield services company, where he advised and led projects relating to radiation detector technology and production, and where he received multiple awards for innovative ideas.
Jong’s interest in technology is broad, from holding a patent on touchscreen technology to having controlled a research satellite. As a past collaborator at CERN and SLAC, Jong has authored and co-authored 500+ journal articles. Jong's experiences include: photo-sensitive devices, radiation detectors, organic/inorganic scintillators, vacuum systems, small-signal measurements, software, and large-scale data analysis.
