Elizabeth Duff Mendoza
Elizabeth Duff Mendoza represents employers in a wide variety of labor and employment matters. She has appeared before federal and state courts and administrative agencies with respect to claims under state and federal non-discrimination laws, wage and hour laws, protected leave laws, and whistleblower protection and non-retaliation laws. She has also litigated claims arising under employment-related contracts, including non-competition and other restrictive covenant agreements.
Elizabeth also counsels employers on litigation avoidance and advises employers on day-to-day employment law issues related to hiring, layoffs and terminations, FMLA and other leaves of absence, reasonable accommodations, and other employment-related matters. Elizabeth conducts workplace investigations and provides trainings on a variety of employment law topics. Additionally, she drafts employment handbooks, policies, and agreements for use by employers.
