Eileen N. Shimizu, Ph.D.

Eileen Shimizu is a Dallas-based Technical Litigation Analyst in Lathrop GPM’s Environmental, Product Liability, and Tort Litigation practice areas. Eileen provides high-level litigation analysis and support in multiple areas, including:

  • Assisting in deposition preparation for scientific experts
  • Analyzing scientific/medical expert depositions
  • Analyzing scientific/medical expert reports, publications and theories to help develop defense strategies
  • Assisting at trial during scientific/medical expert examinations
  • Drafting assistance with opening statements and closing arguments
  • Reviewing scientific literature to keep teams updated on latest developments

Prior to joining the firm, Eileen worked in medical communications, where she collaborated with experts in the area of solid tumors. She received her Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, with research focusing on understanding spinal cord injury and repair.
