David K. Gannaway
David Gannaway is an attorney in the Denver office, who focuses his practice on the preparation of acquisition and drilling, and division order title opinions within the firm's Business Transactions group. David also has experience in business law, mergers, acquisitions, and real estate transactions.
Prior to joining Lathrop GPM, David was a partner at a boutique law firm in Denver, where he provided assistance to clients including preparing drilling, division orders, and acquisition title opinions; drafted purchase and sales agreements for oil and gas transactions, and represented non-operators at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.
David previously worked as a landman in Oklahoma with Marathon Oil Company. There, he negotiated joint operating agreements, testified as an expert witness at forced pooling; increased density and location exception hearings; coordinated lease acquisition projects; and oversaw regulatory procedures in order to permit and drill oil and gas wells for the development of the company's leasehold.
