Eric Yaffe Appointed Chair of D.C. Board on Professional Responsibility
Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce the appointment of Eric Yaffe, a managing officer at the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, to Chair of the Board on Professional Responsibility for the District of Columbia, effective August 1, 2014. As Chair of the nine-member Board, appointed by the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, Eric will be responsible for overseeing the attorney disciplinary system for the third largest unified Bar in the country, with approximately 100,000 members. The Chair serves as the Board’s liaison with the Court of Appeals and oversees the BPR’s multi-million dollar budget, staffing, technology needs, rules and policy changes, and the drafting of opinions and recommendations to the Court of Appeals for the disposition of attorney discipline cases.
