Patrick McRorie Speaking at 2nd Conference on the Law of Shale Plays

DENVER (August 10, 2011) – Lathrop Gage attorney Patrick McRorie (Energy – Denver) is speaking at the Institute for Energy Law’s 2nd Conference on the Law of Shale Plays at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday Sept. 8 at the Worthington Renaissance Hotel in Forth Worth, Texas.

During the session, “Oil Shale Properties,” McRorie, along with J. Lanier Yeates of Gordon, Arata, McCollam, Duplantis & Eagan LLP, will discuss the history and economics of oil shale production as well as considering some title, surface, operational and regulatory issues. The conference will cover highlights including technology and regulation of hydraulic fracturing, leases and horizontal drilling, midstream and marketing issues for shale properties, water and waste water issues, air pollution, and litigation and case law update.

McRorie concentrates his practice in the firm’s corporate department focusing on the energy sector. He represents oil and gas operators in lease acquisition and related exploration and production issues, as well as advising clients in aspects of their exploration and production operations. He was the 2010 president of the Denver Association of Oil and Gas Title Lawyers.
